ABOUT  WiseFool

 WiseFoolは、舞台芸術・地域交流・アウトリーチを軸に活動するアートプロジェクトです。（ディレクション：桑原和彦）演劇、音楽、ダンスなどジャンルを横断しながら、地域や土地に根ざした文化、人々との出会いを通して、新たな文化的交流の場をつくることを目指しています。北海道と山陰地方を中心に、公演、アウトリーチ、ワークショップ、リサーチ活動を展開。劇場空間にとどまらず地域施設、図書館、書店、ギャラリーなど多様な場所で実践を重ねています。また、「さっぽろチェホフ祭」をはじめとする演劇プロジェクトや、北海道と鳥取県をつなぐ地域交流事業などを通じて、地域を越えた舞台芸術の可能性を探求しています。WiseFoolは、芸術を単なる鑑賞体験としてではなく、人と人、地域と地域を結び直すための文化的実践として捉え、継続的な活動を行っています。

WiseFool is an art project centered on performing arts, regional exchange, and outreach activities.(Direction: Kazuhiko Kuwahara)
Crossing genres such as theater, music, and dance, WiseFool aims to create new spaces for cultural exchange through encounters with local cultures, communities, and people rooted in each region.
Based mainly in Hokkaido and the Middle West region of Japan, the project develops performances, outreach programs, workshops, and research activities. Its practices extend beyond theater spaces into community facilities, libraries, bookstores, galleries, and other diverse venues.
Through theater projects such as the “Sapporo Chekhov Festival” and regional exchange initiatives connecting Hokkaido and Tottori Prefecture, WiseFool continues to explore new possibilities for performing arts beyond regional boundaries.
